As a kid, I loooooooooooved the good ole' raspberry jelly mold that came in a can. As I got older, my dad always tried perfecting his own homemade cranberry sauce every year for the Holidays, and it was just never the same. Not even close. So I actually stopped loving having cranberry sauce around the Holidays - whomp, whomp.
That is, until I started attempting to make my own cranberry sauce concoction - one I can say is comparable to the mystery mold in the can. Probably even better, I might add!
It's super simple and easy to make. Plus, it's absolutely delicious to enjoy as a snack served over a little cottage cheese or yogurt. You can vamp up charcuterie boards with this cranberry sauce served on top of goat cheese or brie. It's insanely versatile to enjoy!

Fresh cranberries, raspberries and apples - sauteed and reduced to perfection to create a perfectly sweet yet tangy cranberry sauce. Serve alone as a Thanksgiving/Christmas classic side dish, on a PB sandwich or dollop over yogurt for a delicious and fruity treat.
Start by washing your cranberries, raspberries and apple (separately). Dice up your apple into bite sized pieces and set aside (you'll add these in later).
Once you start hearing your cranberries begin to *pop*, cover with a lid and turn heat down to medium/low. Allow your cranberries to reduce for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. You might have to mash some of the cranberries with a fork (unless you prefer a chunkier sauce).
Then add in your raspberries and fold into the cranberries. Keep the lid on for another ~10 minutes while your raspberries and cranberries continue to reduce, stirring occasionally.
Once your sauce is almost finished, remove from the heat and add in your apple chunks. Fold them into the mixture and place the lid back on. Allow your sauce to come to room temperature for about an hour before adding in the cup (or ~1/2 can) of orange soda.
